In the west, Trickster is Coyote, Raven and other beings. but where I come from, Fox is Trickster. The old tales of Trickster Fox were the basis of the Brer Fox (and Brer Rabbit, etc.) folk tales. This illustration shows Fox stealing fire from the sun (and burning his tongue black in the process).
